Washington State Make It With Wool Contest

The Make It With Wool Contest has been promoting the versatility, beauty and wearability of wool since 1947! Contestants of all ages, from pre-teens through adults, sew, knit, crochet, weave or felt wool garments, which are judged on quality and presentation.
Washington’s state contest will be held on Saturday, October 14th at Central Washington University, Ellensburg. Mini-workshops or question/answer sessions on working with wool may be held during the construction judging, and suggestions will be offered to those advancing to nationals!
Won’t you join us, and Make It With Wool?! Enjoy sharing your creativity and skills, gain valuable life experiences, form wonderful friendships with people who share your appreciation of wool, and make precious memories!
Sample Schedule for State Contest:
8:45 am – All contestants drop off wool garments (only the wool garments to be judged; on hangers and remove the garment bags) at Rooms 137 A and B in the Student Union on CWU Campus.
9:00-11:30 am – Construction judging. Contestants are encouraged to tour the CWU Campus.
11:30 – 12:30 pm Judges’ Luncheon
11:30-11:45 am – Pick up wool garments; be dressed by 12:30 for Presentation/Modeling Judging. Get something to eat for lunch!
12:30 pm – Presentation/Modeling Judging begins. Bring your best smile!
3:00 pm – Fashion Show and Awards ***Public Welcome to attend***
